This Retreat will be held at The Retreat Costa Rica, a Luxury Spa Resort in the mountains of Atenas, Costa Rica. Only 45 minutes from the San Jose airport.
A *7-Day, 6-Night Retreat, focusing on Yoga for Mental Health, led by Dr. Angie Holzer, specializing in Yoga for Mental Health from Stanford University and Angie Bailey, who specializes in restorative & yoga therapy. All levels are welcome! This retreat will discuss how yoga can help in the areas of mental health on a deeper level.
New to yoga? Are you a yoga instructor? Everyone is welcome. Join us and go deeper in your understanding of how yoga can help in areas of mental health. Dr. Angie Holzer specializes in Yoga for Mental Health and will be teaming up with Angie Bailey to teach classes on trauma-informed yoga, anxiety, depression, and other areas of mental health and how yoga and meditation can help.

Experience healthy and clean eating. Learn how foods impact mental health. All foods are locally grown, farm to table. This retreat provides healing foods that are gluten-free and dairy-free. Vegetarian and Vegan options are always available. Start your day off with a tea from the tea and coffee table (available anytime).
During this retreat, you will have access to all amenities, which includes 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, steam room, cold waterfall foundation, meditation deck, lounge area, and more.

Each month, starting six months prior to the retreat, you will receive reading or video materials to help you prepare for this retreat.

*Dates: This is a 7 Day, 6 Night Retreat. Trainings and Masterclasses will be held during the middle 5 days, with a bonus preparation day before and relaxation day at the end. All participants should arrive Nov 16th, and leave Nov 22nd. Yoga classes will be offered daily. Scheduled discussions, masterclasses and specialty classes will be during Nov 17-21.

All levels are welcome! This retreat is focused on learning to adapt your yoga practice to fit different mental health needs. This could include someone new to yoga, yoga instructors, health professionals or anyone interested in deepening their yoga practice. Come join us!

Full refund 100% 6 months before retreat start date (minus the transaction fee), 50% refund up to 4 months prior to start date, 25% refund up to 2 months before. No refund within 2 months of retreat start date, but you are welcome to join a future retreat at a discounted price. We do not offer credit for early arrival or departure. We are not responsible for expenses incurred due to cancellation of retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, weather cancelations, personal emergencies, COVID restrictions or other expenses associated with your trip. Dr. Angie Holzer
About: Dr. Holzer received her yoga certification in Rishikesh, India from Yogi Dinesh in 2016, where she specialized in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. She is trained in Ayurvedic Philosophy, a natural system of medicine, and adapts that into her practice. Dr. Holzer specialized in yoga for mental health at Stanford University, where she taught yoga and meditation classes since 2017. She is certified in trauma-informed yoga, yoga for cancer survivors, and applied adaptive yoga. Dr. Holzer specializes in providing tools to help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, and other areas of mental health.
About: Angie has been teaching yoga since 2016 with a passion for meditation, yin, and restorative practices. In 2021 she began working at Resilient Solutions Inc, a therapy group, as a yoga teacher to help support individuals on their healing journey through trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses. She believes it's important to connect the inner being and learn to value and honor oneself. Read More.
